Intérêts de recherche

– Dre Rouleau a développé une approche scientifique holistique, intégrative et multidisciplinaire visant l’optimisation des soins aux patients opérés pour des pathologies d’épaule et du   coude.

Voici ses intérêts principaux :
– Amélioration des résultats des prothèses d’épaule et de coude par la diminution des infections et par une plus grande précision de position des implants. Dr Rouleau collabore avec l’équipe de microbiologie et l’industrie afin de mener à bien ses projets dans ce domaine.
– Diminution des douleurs suite à une fracture de l’épaule et du coude par le biais d’une meilleure compréhension de l’implication du système neurologique, par l’identification de facteurs pronostiques et par le développement de nouveaux traitements. Dr Rouleau collabore avec plusieurs chercheurs de l’axe de traumatologie du centre de recherche du CIUSSS NIM, dont Pr Louis de Beaumont, afin de contribuer à la science dans ce domaine.
– Étude prospective multicentrique des patients opérés pour l’instabilité d’épaule en vue d’améliorer les résultats cliniques et de mieux choisir la meilleure technique chirurgicale en fonction des caractéristiques et des besoins du patient. Le projet LUXE est en collaboration avec l’hôpital Sainte-Justine et l’hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont.
